Tonight celebrate the penultimate issue of Jai-Lai magazine, a journal dedicated to documenting Miami's literary life, with an evening of art and readings. 

Hosted at Made at the Citadel the release party will include limited edition prints by EDAU, readings by contributing writers, and digital projections of drawings by contributing visual artists Edau, Georges, Anastasia Savinova, and Elena Boils. For $1 the O, Miami + Books Are Nice Zine Machine will be dispensing the latest zine, AJIACO - quarters will be provided for those with cash. Starts at 7:00 pm.

Iggy Pop at The Fillmore

On April 19th Miami locals finally get to see fellow Miami local and music legend Iggy Pop play at The Fillmore Miami Beach. The rocker plays with Josh Homme of Queen's of the Stong Age to promote their new album, Post Pop Depression.

The only stop on the Post Pop Depression tour in Florida, fans who haven't already gotten tickets should. Fellow bandmates from Queens of the Stone Age and Artic Monkeys join the once-retired duo on stage and Miami band Jacuzzi Boys opens.

Caetano Veloso & Gilberto Gil, A Century of Music Together

Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil celebrate over 50 years of friendship with an acoustic concert at Bayfront Park, presented by the Rhythm Foundation. On April 16th, the friends and now-exiled musicians will play a special show, billed as "just two friends and their guitars." The legendary Brazilian artists are famous for creating the Tropicalia sound of Brazil and beyond, creating a rebellious movement that fused Brazilian sounds with the avant-garde.
