Artist Rosa Naday Garmendia's Traveling to Cuba? opens this week showcasing a work documenting human communication between people who live in the United States and Cuba. On the heels of normalizing relations between the U.S. and Cuba, Garmendia has invited travelers throughout Miami to mail a postcard from Cuba that she designed (Cuban postage included). Since starting the project, Garmendia has distributed over 1,000 postcards and has received 152 in the mail over the last year and a half.
