Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) will partner with Los Angeles-based artist Kim Schoenstadt to organize a historic event to gather and photograph female and female identifying contemporary artists.

Titled Now Be Here #3 – the project was started by the artist staged the first gathering and photograph in partnership with Hauser Wirth & Schimel in Los Angeles. The second was in Brooklyn, at the Brooklyn Museum. For the third edition, local photographer Gesi Schilling participates.

This community gathering comes at a time when issues of gender equality and identity are at the forefront of cultural discourse in the United States, particularly in our post-election state. RSVP required | Password: nowbehere

Miami Symphony Orchestra at MDD

Miami Design District presents the Miami Symphony Orchestra Pop-Up series on Friday, December 9th. The event features the Miami Symphony Orchestra, playing a suite of four movements led by conductor Eduardo Marturet. The performances kicks of a series of music focused performances for the Design District, the event is free but requires an RSVP. It starts at 5:00 pm.

Highlighting a hot topic in Miami—ranked as 7th worst congestion in the nation— Steve Parker's Traffic Jam engages community to confront an aggravating topic with humor and creativity. 

MDC Live Arts and Parker confront invite all to make history and make noise in Miami’s first ever car orchestra with live compositions. The event will take place on Saturday, December 3 at the MDC parking lot on Biscayne Boulevard between NE 5 & 6th Street when a composition of cars, trucks, pedicabs, bicycles and conventional instruments come together for a live performance. 

The public is invited to participate – honk your horns, play your windshield wipers, tap your headlights and vent your frustrations in this vehicular flash mob.
