ICA SPEAKS with Jorge Pardo

On March 18th the ICA Miami welcomes sculptor Jorge Pardo for an edition of ICA SPEAKS. Jorge Pardo is a Cuban sculptor whose work often mixes functional with sculptural in large-scale architectural projects. The artist completed work that include a renovation of the DIA Foundation's New York space and a redesign of the LACMA's Latin American galleries. He currently lives and works in Mexico and New York. 

ICA SPEAKS is a series of lectures that highlight artists that are part of the ICA's permanent collection.

Matthew Ronay at PAMM

Matthew Ronay opens tonight at the PAMM with a talk about five people who have influenced his work. The talk will touch on ideas of maps, mysticism and more that have touched his work throughout the course of his career. His work has been featured in the 2013 Lyon Biennial and the 2004 Whitney Biennial. Starts at 7 pm.

EXILE Zine Workshop

EXILE hosts a free zine workshop at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex with community-based artists Akete Chevers and Edny Jean Joseph tonight from 6-9 pm. Make a zine with material sourced from the HistoryMiami Museum archive and curated by Chevers and Jean Joseph to reflect the evolving history of Little Haiti. A copy of every zine created during the workshop will be donated to the HIstoryMiami Museum archive.
