This week the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami opens three new summer exhibitions, focused on artists at different stages of their careers, who have discussed gender, identity, politics in their works.

Three exhibitions open together bringing together three artists whose diverse practices overlap in shared affinities and motives. The influential Ida Applebroog will showcase a series of historical drawings from the 1970s, never-before-seen, alongside a selection of recent work. For his US solo debut, Renaud Jerez creates a site-specific installation; and New Zealand artist Susan Te Kahurangi King will debut her first solo museum presentation with a survey of works.

On Friday, July 8, at 7:00 pm, the ICA celebrates the opening of its summer exhibitions with a cocktail reception. Admission to the museum is free with RSVP.
