JAI-LAI Books celebrates their brand new anthology with O,Miami and Books & Books on Sunday, December 13th at 4:00 pm. The books focuses on the work of eight young unpublished Miami poets in Miami-Dade County who have not yet published a full-length collection. All eight poets will read from the anthology for the first time together.

Tonight at 7 pm the Artists in Residence in Everglades (AIRIE) join together with the Perez Art Museum to talk about their latest project, WILD Billboards. The billboards posted throughout the city will bring the Everglades to the city, showcasing some of the wildlife that call the Everglades home. AIRIE's purpose it to connect writers, artists and musicians with the Everglades through month-long residencies on-site.

This year 8,712 films were submitted to Sundance Film Festival and of them four fictional Borscht shorts were selected for the festival. One of the films, titled Swimming in Your Skin by Terrance Nance is now available in full on Nowness. The film explores pop culture and spirituality against the South Florida setting and at 20 minutes is a great entry into Borscht films. This marks the sixth year in a row the South Florida film company has participated in the festival.
